Getting Ready

As many of you know, we are scheduled for a c-section bright and early on Friday morning. While we're both nervous about the surgery, we couldn't be happier at the thought of finally meeting our daughter! This week has seemed to pass very slowly, and I imagine that tomorrow will be a long day of waiting and anticipation.

There are still a few things we need to do before her arrival, but honestly, they are trivial. I still need to clean out my car and install the carseat base (even though I won't be able to drive for 2 weeks following the surgery), and clean the house so that we won't have to worry about it when we come home from the hospital. Everything else is as ready as it's going to be. Her clothes are washed and folded, and just waiting for someone to wear them.

I decided to create this family blog as an "online scrapbook" that I can use to document and remember the events happening in our lives. After all, on Friday (the 13th!) our lives will change forever! A new journey awaits us, and we will cherish these early days and memories forever. Plus, we thought it would be a fun way to keep family and friends informed about us. When Ella is born, we'll be sure to post pictures and such (what family scrapbook would be complete without photos?!) and we'll let you know how everything goes. So welcome! From now on, you'll get a glimpse of our lives. Enter at your own risk! :)

(That picture is very old--taken on March 19, 2008! The belly has grown quite a bit since then...)

I'm so glad we will be able to see her so soon! I can't believe the time has already come! Be nice to Mommy baby Ella!

WooHoo!

Praise the Lord and pass the little diapers. :-)

May the Lord bless the 13th for you all,
