Life as a new parents is a roller coaster. Just when we think we're starting to settle and get used to our new life, she screams all night or we're just exhausted. But, at the moment, I do feel like we're really starting to settle. Ella and I take short trips out of the house sometimes, and most days I actually do feel like a real human (although I admit there are still days that I don't make time to take a shower...).
Today Ella has been sleeping a lot. Yesterday she hardly slept at all. She slept well last night--we were only up 2 times! And then were up for the day at around 8. Not bad. But, like I said, she's been sleeping for most of today, so I'm guessing she'll be awake tomorrow morning at 5am, ready to be awake and play.
My mom has her right now, so I'm finally able to upload some pictures from the past 2 weeks. She's starting to smile more, and I'm trying to put her down more when she's happy and awake. She doesn't really "play" yet, but I get out some of her toys and rattle them in front of her. She likes to look at herself in the mirror, and is happiest during the morning hours. She's starting to have more "good" days where she doesn't scream for hours on end, although I do think she's sensitive to milk because I've started eating it again, and after having 4 great days (great being she was fussy all day but didn't scream endlessly) in a row, she's started screaming again. So sadly, no milk for me. But, I think I can eat things with tiny amounts of milk in it, like crackers and bread, and all of the "hidden" places. I just need to avoid all of the obvious, high-milk content things like sour cream, butter, milk, cheese, etc.
Sounds like she's waking up! I'll be back (hopefully sometime in the next day or two!) with recent pictures. She's getting so big!
